Ireland

My daughter has been doing Irish step dance since she was three...skipping around the dance floor...smile on her face.  As time went on, her love of dance grew and grew...one night a week at dance turned in to two nights a week.  Decisions needed to be made, by her.  Dance or Soccer...Dance or Brownies....always the choice was dance.  One hour classes turned into two hour classes.  Competitions called a Feis were entered...some days were great and medals hung around her neck.  Some days nothing...but a desire to do better grew.  Looking up and listening  to the older girls who danced every day...stories of traveling to Ireland to compete.  Picking her up after those classes you could see the stars in her eyes...dreams of a goal to be like the older girls.  More classes, more hours, Feis's every weekend....dancing around the house, in the line at school...feet that never stopped!

She is 12 now and her hard work has paid off...on Friday we leave for Ireland for her to compete in All Irelands.  She has been dancing 6 days week for 2 hours..to get ready.  Never complaining...keeping up with her school work (all A's)...doing her chores...Making her dream come true!!  I am so proud of her and feel so blessed that we can help ($$) make this dream come true for her!  I can't wait to see her on that stage...no matter what the judges place her...She is number 1 in my eyes...always and forever!!
